Scala Publishing commissioned two experienced names

Istanbul, May 30 (HNA) – Journalist and author Abdurrahman Yıldırım and one of the seasoned names of the banking sector Ender Yılmaz, joined Scala, a publishing house known for its books on management, finance, investment, and international markets.

Founded in 1992 by Canan and Hakan Feyyat and celebrating its 30th anniversary, Scala Publishing incorporated two well-known names in their respective sectors into its operation as editors.

Beginning his journalism career in 1983 at Anadolu Agency, Abdullah Yıldırım was commissioned to follow the prime minister of the time, Turgut Özal, due to his articles on economics. He then moved on to Cumhuriyet in 1987 and closely kept track and wrote articles on the stock exchange and its privatization process during the eight years he worked there. He took part in the foundation of Yeni Yüzyıl between 1994-99, where he acted as first the Chief Finance Editor and later Chief Economics Editor. He worked as the Chief Economics Editor between 1999 and 2008 in Sabah, where he continued to write articles on the economic agenda. He went on air on TRT, CNBC-e, Bloomberg HT, NTV, and Haberturk TV as a financial commentator. He wrote four books on the stock market, as well as the success story of Uzungol and Dursun Ali İnan. He’s still acting as a commentator at Bloomberg and writes articles on finance, the stock market, and trends in macroeconomics, food, real estate, and tourism sectors.

Meanwhile, Ender Yılmaz, one of the seasoned names in the banking sector, began his career as an inspector at a private bank after he received his bachelor’s degree at AU Faculty of Political Science in 1989. He acted as an Executive and Manager of Treasury and Capital Market Operations for long years. During this period, he led some of the projects that were the first of their time. He’s still working as the Operations Group Manager at a private investment bank. Yılmaz, who has a particular interest in treasury, money, and capital markets, has Derivative and Advanced Level licenses from CMB. He also completed the Sabancı University Executive EMBA program in 2010.
