Non-domestic producer prices rise by 100.54 percent in May annually

Deniz Kılınç / Istanbul, June 20 (HNA) – Non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) increased by 100.54 percent in may annually and by 6.51 percent compared to April, by 23.92 percent compared to December of the previous year and by 70.12 percent on 12 months moving averages.

ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 107.11 percent for mining and stone quarrying and by 100.42 percent for manufacturing in May compared to the same month of the previous year. On a monthly basis, mining and stone quarrying increased by 6.92 percent and manufacturing rose by 6.50 percent.

Regarding the indices of main industrial groups intermediate goods increased by 112.79 percent, durable consumer goods increased by 83.68 percent, non-durable consumer goods increased by 83.73 percent, energy increased by 279.37 percent and capital goods increased by 85.52 percent, annually. Compared to April, intermediate goods, durable consumer goods, non-durable consumer goods, energy and capital goods rose by 6.79 percent, 3.87 percent, 5.60 percent, 22.51 percent and 5.41 percent, respectively.
