Russian Covid-19 vaccine to enter circulation on January 1

Londra, August 11 (HNA) – Russia’s Covid-19 vaccine will be available to “the civilian population” as of January 1, 2021, Moscow’s Health Ministry announced on Tuesday.

Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that the vaccine will be introduced in stages and that it will first be available to frontline workers, especially medical personnel, and teachers.

The vaccine, which was developed by Binnopharm JSC and the Gamaleya research center, will be called Sputnik.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia became the first country in the world to register a Covid-19 vaccine.
