Celal Sonmez / London, March 30 (HNA) – Bracing to celebrate its 30th anniversary, Scala Publishing House won another award, this time from Crazy Life International Quality Awards. Scala Chairman Hakan Feyyat accepted the Publisher of the Year Award at the ceremony, held at Dedeman Hotel.
Özlem Yıldız and Şenol İpek presented the awards, organized by İlker Bekar and Hülya Yanıkdağ and sponsored by Magazin Life. Zuhal Olcay, Ekin Uzunlar and Ersan Er performed at the ceremony, where the best of the year were celebrated.
“In today’s world, the technological developments make the leaders of the world stuck between two different paths,” said Feyyat, in a speech at the ceremony. “The East and the West are clashing at the speed of light, Dostoyevsky’s country is attacking Gogol’s hometown. Yet, as Dostoyevsky put it, didn’t we all come out from under Gogol’s overcoat? On days like this, the key to peace is to understand both systems simultaneously. So, long live books and book stores, the symbols of peace!”
Recently, Scala was also voted the Best Publishing House of the Year in 2021 by the Plating Magazine readers and won the best economics book award from the American Economic Association.
